WCHS came into the final game of the El Dorado tournament having not lost 2 games in a row all season. After losing to Fullerton the day before, the Heralds faced the Warriors of Patriot High School looking to keep that trend going.

The first half was relatively close as WCHS led all the way but couldn’t distance themselves from a big Warriors team that controlled the glass and finished well around the rim. The Heralds were led in scoring by Chad who had 17 in the first half and 24 in the game. The Heralds led 34-27 at the end of the 1st half.

In the second half the Heralds were able to solve their half court offense and limit the offensive rebounds to build up a 51 to 36 lead heading into the 4th. The Heralds really pulled away in the 4th limiting the Warriors to 10 points while scoring 20. The Heralds are now 9-7 on the season.

The Heralds were led in rebounding by Ryan G. with 10, Chad with 6 and Kolby with 5. Noah led the team with 5 assists and the team had 18 assists on 27 field goals. The Heralds had a season low 9 turnovers and forced the Warriors into 22. Every player on the Heralds scored for the first time this season.
