We had some technical difficulties on our website this past week…SO…HERE are TWO WEEK’S WORTH OF HERALD ATHLETES THAT WE WANT TO HONOR!
Herald Football player NOAH SANCHEZ had quite a game in the win over Arrowhead Christian! Noah recorded 10 solo tackles, 6 assists and 5 sacks in the game on defense! He also played on the other side of the ball and had 5 receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown. Noah followed up the Arrowhead Christian game with another outstanding performance at Bell High on September 15! Along with multiple tackles on defense, Noah had 8 receptions for 146 yards and a TD!
Herald Football player RYAN ROMERO had another strong game against Arrowhead Christian. Ryan caught 5 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. On defense, Ryan was involved in 8 tackles, had an interception and recovered a fumble! Ryan then went into the Bell game and continued where he left off last Friday! Ryan had 10 receptions for 168 yards and 2 TDs…including the game winning catch with just seconds left in the game!
Herald Volleyball libero HANNAH TOBIN had a total of 54 digs in the two-game span of Palm Desert and Sonora. Hannah has become a rock of the defense in the back row!
Herald Cross Country runner KATIE HERRON had an outstanding 2nd place finish in the first Olympic League race of the season. She was impressive in this first run of the season.
Herald Cross Country runner FATIMA MONTELONGO was close behind Katie and finished 3rd in the Olympic League race vs. Valley Christian. Fatima also plays soccer in the winter season.
Herald Football quarterback QUINN COMMANS adds his name to the list with his performance on September 15 at Bell High. Quinn threw for over 300 yards in just the first half on Friday! He went on to throw for 495 yards and 5 TDs in the game…and had a rushing touchdown. Quinn is one of the top QBs in the state of California!
