Heralds News · Senior Clare Jordan Recognized As Scholar Athlete

Our very own Clare Jordan, Senior Setter for the 15-6 Heralds Volleyball team, has been recognized for her academic and athletic abilities for the Spectrum News 1 Scholar Athlete Program.  This program looks to highlight exceptional area talent by interviewing them and awarding a $1,000 scholarship towards college expenses.

Clare is an incredible role model and inspiration to others in the program for what she chooses to accomplish.  Her incredible work ethic, indelible character, witty charm and outward warmth for others, are part of what makes Clare such an incredible person.  Being a student/athlete is no easy task in todays world.  Attending a high-academic school like Whittier Christian where the rigor of her schedule often dictates her management of time, she never fails to show up to practice each day with a smile and encouragement for her teammates.  She has grown over the past three seasons on Varsity into the leader that she is. This personal growth for Clare shows her maturity and understanding of what is needed of a leader, and something that will continue to serve her well as she heads to college next year.

We are happy and excited for Clare, who is so deserving of this recognition! Please use the link below to see the story.
