Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · Heralds Cross Country Performs Well at Olympic League Finals

The Olympic League Cross Country Finals wrapped up this past Thursday and the Heralds Cross Country Team had quite a showing. Both boys and girls teams were ready to compete as they arrived at Hansen Dam Recreation Center. The girls races went off first and Junior Katie Herron took 2nd place coming up just shy of 1st place with a time of 21:21.25 on the 3 mile course.  Teammate Sarah Isip had a great race as well coming in 9th overall with a time of 22:37.56.  The rest of the girls team contributed great times and the Lady Heralds will be moving on to CIF!

The competition on the boys side was tough and Junior Matt White ran a 17:01.41 to take 4th place. Senior Kai Barboza wasn’t too far behind him with a time if 18:09.57 which put him across the finish line in 7th place. Overall, both teams competed well and finished their Olympic League season strong.

Some individual awards were received on Thursday and we congratulate the following athletes on their honors:
