Girls Varsity Swimming · Sarah Isip – Solid Performance at CIF Swim Finals!

The future is bright for Herald sophomore Sarah Isip!  She worked hard this season and found herself in the hunt for strong finishes in not one, but TWO CIF Final events!

Sarah finished 4th in the very difficult long-distance 500 Freestyle event with a time of 5:23.8.  This was another 3 seconds faster than her previous personal best (in the CIF prelims just two days earlier)!  Sarah only had a short time to try to recover from this long-distance event and then moved into the finals of the 100 Breaststroke.  Sarah finished 3rd with a time of 1:10.4.  This was a SOLID performance for the young Herald and we are very proud of her!

Here is an interesting CIF stat… there were a total of 47 girls swim teams/ schools competing in Division 4, and Sarah’s points alone (total of 35) tied WCHS for 24th place!

Way to go Sarah, and thank you Coach Magen for all of your hard work with our 2018 Herald Swim Team!
