Boys Junior Varsity Football, Boys Varsity Football · Coach Sergio Gradilla resigns as Herald Football head coach after a 9-year Run

The Herald athletic department and the Whittier Christian High School community would like to thank Coach Sergio Gradilla for his 9-year run as our head football coach.  Coach Gradilla announced to his players today that he is leaving the position.  Coach Gradilla will stay on at Whittier Christian with his other duties on campus, but step away from football.  Coach Gradilla had multiple Olympic League championships in his time as head coach and made it to the CIF finals in 2010.

“Coach Gradilla has been a true Herald in all of his years as our head coach, assistant coach and even way back to his days as a Herald football player himself,” AD Rolland Esslinger said.  “We certainly wish him the best as he adjusts to a new time in his life.”

Athletic Director Rolland Esslinger has announced the official search for the new coach.  Any interested applicants should first email him at:
