Multiple Teams · Success in the Pool at Maranatha!

The Heralds Swim team entered their first meet of the season today at Maranatha High School. Freshman Sarah Isip was a standout in all her events grabbing a CIF consideration time in the 200 IM with a 2:23.20 and an automatic qualifying time in the 100 Breaststroke with a 1:14.89. Senior Faith Palmer had a good meet as well swimming to two CIF consideration times. First in the 100 Backstroke with a 1:09.77 and then right away in the Breaststroke with a 1:17.09.

Both girls were a part of our relay teams that both had qualifying times. The Varsity girls Medley team (Isip, Palmer, Madison Tanklage, Elizabeth Tanklage) took 1st with a time of 2:12.79. Later in the meet, Isip joined the Tanklage sisters again along with Yajie Xu in the Freestyle relay to take 1st place with a time of 1:57.03.

We had some new Heralds join the team and all swimmers did a phenomenal job today. It was a great meet and the team gained some valuable experience. The next meet is at Maranatha on Tuesday March 21st at 3:15pm.
