Game Recap

The Herald Varsity Baseball team traveled to Mission Hills Little League park to play Heritage Christian in the first Olympic League contest of the 2016 season. The game was tied 0-0 after three innings, but the Heralds broke it open with 6 runs in the 4th. Three straight singles by Greene, Carreon and Hernandez set the table for a big inning. Doubles by Salas and Alvis-Labadie along with a single by Hust really did the damage.
The offensive performers of the day were Isaiah Carreon (4 for 4, with 3 doubles and a single, and 3 runs scored), Logan Veloff (with 4 rbi’s) and Matt Salas (with 2 doubles).
Brett Greene pitched 6 strong innings and Josh Hernandez came in to close out the game in the 7th.
The Heralds will next play the defending league champs Village Christian at HOME on Tuesday, March 22, at 3:30 pm.
